Cookie Policy
Effective: 20 March 2026
Nexus – Automation & Implementation (operating as Solohaus) uses cookies and local storage technologies to provide, secure, and improve its services. This policy explains what cookies are, which ones we use, and how you can manage your preferences.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your web browser when you visit a website. Local storage is a similar browser feature that allows websites to store data locally. Both are used to remember information between page visits and sessions.
2. Strictly necessary cookies and storage
These are essential for the service to function. They cannot be disabled without breaking core functionality. No consent is required for these items (ePrivacy Directive, Art. 5(3); GDPR Art. 6(1)(b) and Art. 6(1)(f)).
| Cookie / Storage | Purpose | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
better-auth.session_token | Authentication session management | 14 days | Cookie |
solohaus-analytics-consent | Stores your cookie consent preference | Persistent | localStorage |
solohaus_onboarding_draft | Saves onboarding form progress | Until completion | localStorage |
3. Analytics cookies and storage (consent required)
These are only set after you give explicit consent via our cookie consent banner. They help us understand how visitors use Solohaus so we can improve the product. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent).
| Cookie / Storage | Purpose | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
ph_* (PostHog cookies) | Product analytics — page views, feature usage, session replay | Session / persistent | Cookie + localStorage |
PostHog analytics data is processed on EU-hosted infrastructure. PostHog is configured with persistence: "localStorage+cookie", meaning it uses both cookies and localStorage for session continuity. No personal identifiable information is sent to PostHog.
4. Managing your preferences
Cookie consent banner: When you first visit Solohaus, a consent banner allows you to accept or reject analytics cookies. You can change your preference at any time by clearing your browser's local storage for this site, which will cause the banner to reappear.
Browser settings: Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies through their settings. Please note that blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from using Solohaus.
5. More information
For details on how we process personal data, including session data (IP addresses, user agents), please see our Privacy Policy.
If you have questions about our use of cookies, please contact us at legal@solohaus.io.
